DharmaDen is bringing in the new school year with some rock and roll. This TunedUp session will feature talent from both UCSD and SDSU. What better way to start the semester than with some local music. Here are the band descriptions:

We're rosetintedglasses, a local San Diego band, and proud Tritons. Our current most concise label is as follows: Pop-leaning rock but with piano except it's not Elton John, Queen, or Billy Joel.

Representing SDSU is a sonic fruit bowl of funk, rock, and fusion! Famously compared to both Rush and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Exotic Fruit Tour brings a whole new level and meaning to interplanetary funksmanship.

For the headliner, we have an OG band from DharmaDen’s first year of TunedUp videos. Blazing Jane was formed in August 2018 by a group of music lovers that have the desire to create soulful, modern-Classic rock music. Blazing Jane is comprised of soulful singer and songwriter Lissa Dee on lead vocals, guitarist extraordinaire, singer, songwriter Ken Gill, singer, bassist Paul Harris, rhythmic powerhouse John Sheppard on Drums and Percussion, and Jeremy Casey on Rhythm Guitar. The band released their first album, “Heading to the Sun” in 2020 and will be releasing their second album in fall of 2022.
